The Grant Proposal Advising & Outreach Program offers grant-writing workshops and individual grant proposal consultations to University of California, Berkeley students.
Fall 2001 Workshops
Applying for a Fulbright-IIE Grant
This workshop will provide an introduction to the application process for the Fulbright-IIE grant. Students are encouraged to bring their own copies of the Fulbright application and booklet to the workshop. This workshop will be held at the following time:
· Thursday, September 6, 2001, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the ASUC Senate Chambers, located on the ground floor of Eshleman Hall.
How to Write an Academic Grant Proposal
This introductory two-hour workshop covers the basic principles of writing an academic grant proposal. This workshop will be offered at the following time:
· Friday, September 14, 2001, from 1 to 3 p.m., ASUC Senate Chambers, located on the ground floor of Eshleman Hall.
How to Write an Academic Grant Proposal: A Mini-Workshop
This one-hour workshop, for those who could not attend the one above, is intended to provide an overview of the grant-writing process, highlighting the most important elements and procedures. Students, who have attended the two-hour workshop listed above at some point in the past, may wish to attend this workshop as a quick review of the elements of a successful academic grant proposal. This workshop will be offered at the following time:
· Friday, September 28, 2001, from 1 to 2 p.m., in the ASUC Senate Chambers, located on the ground floor of Eshleman Hall.
There is no preregistration for the workshops listed above. Information about spring semester workshops will be posted on the bulletin board outside of 318 Sproul Hall on Friday, January 18, 2002.
Individual Consultations
Students may sign up for an individual grant proposal consultation with the head of the Grant Proposal Advising & Outreach Program. Check the bulletin board outside of 318 Sproul Hall for available appointment slots. Students are advised to begin the grant process early as appointment slots fill up quickly during the busy time of the grant process, particularly during the fall semester when most grant and fellowship applications are due.
