Hi! My name is Shifeng Jin and I am a volunteer from a student-run

organization called Volunteers Health Interpreters Organization(VHIO) at

UC Berkeley.



  We have been working with the Korean Community Health Services(KCHS) of

the Bay Area at various clinics and conferences, and we are holding our

5th annual Korean 5K Health Walk on April 28th at Lake Merritt in

Oakland. The event is aimed at promoting awareness of various health

issues and at helping those who only have limited access to proper

medical care within the Korean community of the Bay Area.



  We would like to invite the members of your organization to participate

in the 5th annual Korean 5K Health Walk. We have been working hard to

make the event an all-inclusive family event, so everybody, from the

toddlers to the elders, can come out on a breezy day in April and enjoy

the beautiful scenery of Lake Merritt.



  Lunch and memento T-shirts will be provided. We will also have a raffle

at the end of the event, and there are generous prizes for winners!



  Admission is free for students, $10 for children, and $20 for adults.

All proceeds will be used to fund the medical check-ups provided by the

KCHS to uninsured and low-income families.   We will be looking forward

to seeing you! Donations of any kind are greatly appreciated!

  저희 VHIO에서는 한인건강서비스(KCHS)와 함께 금년 4월 28일에 오클랜드에 있는 Lake Merritt 공원에서 열릴 제

5회 한인건강걷기 대회를 조직하고 있습니다. 본 행사는 건강과 관련된 각종 현안들에 대한 인식을 제고하고 Bay Area 한인

커뮤니티내의 의료적 소외계층을 돕기위해 마련되었습니다.  부디 이 뜻깊은 행사에 참여하시어 화창한 4월의 봄날과 Lake 

Merritt공원의 아름다운 경관을 만끽하시기 바랍니다. 본 행사는 남녀노소 누구나 다 참여할 수 있고, 가족나들이로도 안성맞춤

입니다! 점심식사와 기념 티셔츠가 제공될 예정이며, 행사 마지막에는 추첨을 통해 푸짐한 상품을 드릴예정입니다.



  참가비는 학생은 무료, 어린이는 $10, 그리고 어른은 $20 입니다. 본 행사의 수익금 전액은 의료적 소외계층을 대상으로하는

한인건강서비스의 운영비로 쓰여집니다. 많은 참여 부탁드립니다!
