기존에 I-20라고 불리던 서류가 SEVIS로 바뀐 건 다들 아시죠? 지금 이 시점에서 새로운 SEVIS를 받지 못하신 분들은 SISS로 문의하시기 바랍니다. 특히, 이번 겨울 방학 때 한국이나 미국 밖으로 여행하시는 분들은 다시 한번 확인해주세요.

To all F-1 and J-1 International Students:
As of August 1, all international students in the US should have a SEVIS
I-20 (F-1) or DS 2019 (J-1) in their possession (If you are not sure what
you have, you can tell by the bar code on page 1 with your SEVIS ID printed
above it. If your document has a barcode, you have a SEVIS doc).
You need to come to the SISS office immediately if:
1) You lost your document and need to request a replacement
2) Your document has wrong info and you need to request a corrected one
3) You never requested and never received a SEVIS document ( Please call
SISS at 642-2818 to make an appointment with an adviser)
4) You requested a SEVIS document and you haven't picked it up yet (many
unclaimed documents remain in our file).
If you are not sure if you requested one or if there is one waiting for you
here, please come to SISS. We cannot check to see if documents are ready
for you by email or telephone request. If your document is not here in our
file, it means there is a potential problem and we need to see you anyway.
Please note that during the month of late November and December, the SISS
office gets very busy with students and scholars who need new documents for
travel over the winter break. Avoid the rush and the long lines! Come visit
the SISS office today! YOU WILL NEED YOUR SEVIS DOCUMENT FOR TRAVEL OUT OF
THE US.
Office hours are from 9-12 and 1-4 Monday through Friday. You may pick up
your documents any time during those hours.
If you need to speak with an adviser (5-10 minute questions), our drop in
hours are from 2-4 on Monday, Thursday, Friday and 10-12 on Tuesday and
Wednesday. If you need a 1/2 hour appointment, please call 642-2818 to
schedule it.
