The Korea America Student Conference is relatively young compared to our sister program, Japan America Student Conference.

The purpose of KASC, as we call it, is simple.  We are a student-led academic, intercultural summer conference that promotes the importance of US and South Korean relations.  Through different roundtable topics comprised of 5 American students and 5 Korean students, we work on topics and come up with possible solutions that we present to professors and some important government figures.  We are here to demonstrate what students can accomplish in further developing cultural ties.

The Conference last one month, July 1-July 29th this year.  We will travel to four different locations/universities in the US.

Last year, I was a 4th KASC American Delegate working on the Human Rights round table.  In my group, we talked about Urban Poverty, some of us went to visit the slums of Seoul.  I personally didn't know that there was one!

From the hours of researching, friendship building, traveling, and cultural sites, I have numerous memories of KASC.  And this year, I will be running the program along with 4 other American Executive students and 5 Korean Executive students.

One of my major responsibilities for this conference is recruitment.  And I"m out and about searching for some of the brightest and most dynamic students out there will work hard but also have fun through this incredible conference.

This is my brief introduction.  If you have any more questions, please email me back.  I'm aware my email is long, I do apologize for that.

I can answer any questions and give you more resources.  Our application deadline is approaching March 1st.  Due to some internal reorganization, we have been delayed in our operations.  I do apologize on behalf if this deadline is so sudden.
