KSEA Berkeley 9월 세미나 시간에는 ETA에서 근무하시는 박원영 연구원께서 US DOE가 리드하고 LBNL이 참여하는 에너지효율 시장전환 정책 프로그램에 관한 이야기를 해주실 예정입니다. 아울러 세미나 이후에는 참석하신 분들, 특히 최근에 새로 LBNL/UC Berkeley에 새로오신 분들 (포스닥, 비지팅, 스탭 연구원 모두 환영) 과 더 이야기 나눌 수 있는 시간을 마련하고자 하니 많은 참여를 기다리겠습니다. 참석하실 분들은 아래의 링크를 통해 RSVP 부탁드립니다.

DESCRIPTION: An initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) and a task within the International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation, Super-efficient Equipment and Appliance Deployment (SEAD) seeks to engage governments and the private sector to transform the global market for energy-efficient equipment and appliances. The Global Lighting and Energy Access Partnership (Global LEAP), another CEM initiative, works to catalyze the development of commercial markets for energy access solutions for more than 1 billion people lack access to electricity and electricity services. The talk will be focused on LBNL's technical support, within the selected CEM initiatives, for energy efficiency market transformation policies such as standards and labeling, awards, and incentives.

BIO: Won Young Park is a Researcher at LBNL. He has been working on technical analysis for energy efficiency improvement in appliances (e.g., TVs, computer monitors, and air conditioners) for the Super-efficient Equipment and Appliance Deployment (SEAD) Initiative and the Global Lighting and Energy Access Partnership (Global LEAP). Prior to LBNL, he worked at Samsung SDI which focused on its efforts on digital display technology and the alternate energy business. He received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Yonsei University (2003), and a Master of Public Policy from UC Berkeley's Goldman School of Public Policy (2010).
