KASC 행사 관련 내용 포워딩합니다. 관심있는 분들의 많은 참여 바랍니다.

My name is Sarah Henriet, program manager for the Korea-America Student Conference (KASC). I'm writing today to introduce you to our program and see if your students would be interested in our upcoming Conference this July 2013.

KASC is a student-run leadership training program for American and Korean undergraduate and graduate students. Its mission is to forge a stronger U.S.-Korea human networkby nurturing the next generation of future American and Korean leaders who share close ties (personally and professionally) and have a genuine understanding of one another. KASC is unique in that, every summer, it brings together 50 students (nation-wide and from all backgrounds) from the U.S. and Korea for a month-long Conference. As a unified group, the delegation explores four regions of the host country (conference alternates countries every year), hosts 5roundtable topics, hears distinguished experts across various fields, and performs community service. KASC is patterned after its sister program the Japan-America Student Conference (JASC), which started in 1934 and now has an extensive network of Japanese and U.S. leaders.

This year, the 6th Conference will take place in Korea and will convene in Pohang (Handong University), Seould (Yonsei University), Daejeon (KAIST), and Jeju island (Jeju National University). We currently have a few spots left on our American delegation and we'd love to have students represent Berkeley! We actually had one student from Berkley apply but didn't complete the application. Could you please share this with interested students? You can also get more info at http://iscdc.org/kasc/
Please note that the deadline was March 1st, but we are accepting a few more applications in order to have a more competitive pool of American applicants.

Thanks so much Mr. Nam, looking forward to hearing from you!

Kind regards,Sarah Henriet
