The annual US-Korea Conference on Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (UKC) will be held at Hyatt Regency Hotel, San Francisco, CA, August 6-9, 2014.


The main objective of UKC is to promote the US-Korea cooperation in advancing science and technology. The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST) is a co-organizer. UKC is sponsored by many industrial companies and research organizations. UKC2014 offers the excellent opportunity for collaboration and knowledge transfer among industry leading scientists, engineers, and companies from Korea and USA. At UKC2014, you'll meet the people who lead prime and subprime science and technology, lead and manage government programs, and create business and job opportunities.



On behalf of the UKC2014 Program Committee and the UKC2014 sponsoring organizations, we invite you to submit a paper presenting your technical solutions, advancements, and knowledge at UKC 2014. UKC2014 will focus on basic science, emerging technology and industry technology. Significant research findings, R&D trends, and future prospects of sciences and technologies are solicited in the areas including, but not limited to the following:



Basic Science Program

o Physics Symposium (PHY)

o Math/Stat Symposium (MST)

o Chemistry Symposium (CHM)



Industry Technology Program

o Chemical Engineering Symposium (CHE)

o Computer and Information Technology Symposium (CIT)

o Food, Agriculture and Nutrition Symposium (FAN)

o Materials Science and Engineering Symposium (MSE)

o Mechanical, Aerospace and Naval Engineering Symposium (MAN)

o Civil, Environmental, Architecture Symposium (CEA)

o Electrical, Electronics and Communications Symposium (EEC)



Emerging Technology Program

o Bio, Medical and Pharmaceutical Symposium (BMP)

   - Developmental Biology, Informatics, Neuroscience, Stem Cell, Immunology, Cancer, Metabolism

o Convergence Technology Symposium (CNV)

   - Nano Technology, Robotics, Brain Research , Quantum Computing 



All papers are required to be written and presented in English. The papers will be reviewed and selected by each Symposium Program Committee in consultation with the Conference Program Committee. All papers presented at the Conference will be collected and published as a CD. 



Submission of papers 

All submissions are done electronically on-line using the submission page. Online submission will be available starting December 1, 2013. One-page paper template can be found here



Papers must be submitted by the following deadlines:
