Tek
One is a new organization that was founded this year to support
Korean-American entrepreneurs interested in the fields of science and
technology. The mission of Tek One is to promote technology-centric
start-up activities for Korean-American scientists, engineers, and
entrepreneurs and to support these start ups through venture capital
competitions, networking events, mentoring and training.
The
TeK One Conference will consist of interactive panel sessions and
round-table discussions with technology entrepreneurship experts. In
addition, there is a unique program: a “Start-up Pitch/Poster Session”
by 30 early-stage companies to pitch their business plans and ideas to
mentors and investors. Founders will receive valuable mentoring and
feedback from seasoned entrepreneurs. There will also be many
opportunities to network with investors and other Korean-American
entrepreneurs.
